Upgrade! I had been using a hammer (appropriately rigged, as you can see) for eeeeverything then finally got the proper tool(s). What a difference (obviously, I know)!
Speaking of new tools, I also got a brander....then I got carried away with it. Ha!
Spent several days perfecting a particular pattern. I used to despise pattern making but I think that was just because I didn't understand the value of it. There is a part of me that still gets frustrated with the process, simply because a new pattern means a new/updated design which means I'm so anxious to see the end result that I want the prep work to be done. But working with leather, it's never an 'easy' redo, each piece of hide is precious and should be given the proper amount of attention and detailing. I have often found that the more time I spend on the pattern, the less time I have to spend reworking a design.
The second half of the week, I did quite of bit of leather dye experimenting and have thus far been more than happy with the results!!
Polka dots and self timer!
And the end result is some goodness!! Available here for only $58.

"To keep going, is to believe that there is always an invitation, is a truly creative act... There's sort of a healthy defiance involved. A hoping against hope. God continues to use creation, creativity, and the arts to point to and unlock hope, mystery, beauty, and love. An open invitation for us all."
I’ve made the hard decision to close CHC.
My vision to awaken the beauty in people through creating beautiful products and experiences remains in tact; CHC is simply no longer the vehicle to my vision. My depth of gratitude for your support (every step of the way) is inexpressible.
