Custom Works: the Aporta Tote

October 24, 2013

Oh yes, another custom piece in beautiful black. This time for my dear friend Noelle of APORTA. Noelle is a skilled knitter and weaver in search of a black tote focused on clean lines and ongoing depth to house her necessities for being such a lovely artist and entrepreneur.

While the outside of the bag seams (see what I did there? ;-) like never-ending lines of black, I embroidered a monochromatic triangle, to bring your eyes front and center to the subtle but strong logo for APORTA.

Even more custom, the inside of The Aporta Tote is fully lined with an oversized signature inside flap pocket, tagged with my CHC logo. It's rare that I fully line a bag because I love to celebrate all angles of cowhide but in order to be of best use for Noelle, a lining will add her own character to the bag as well as protect her yarns from common dustings from the raw side of cowhide.

The Aporta Tote stands at:

16"W x 18"L x 2"D

28" double shoulder straps with a 24" drop

fully lined with black and white stripe cotton

oversized inside flap pocket

Just Go Create

"To keep going, is to believe that there is always an invitation, is a truly creative act... There's sort of a healthy defiance involved. A hoping against hope. God continues to use  creation, creativity, and the arts to point to and unlock hope, mystery, beauty, and love. An open invitation for us all."

CHClosing

July 25, 2019

I’ve made the hard decision to close CHC.

My vision to awaken the beauty in people through creating beautiful products and experiences remains in tact; CHC is simply no longer the vehicle to my vision. My depth of gratitude for your support (every step of the way) is inexpressible.
