Stories: Andrew and the Aura

April 05, 2017 1 Comment

Meet Andrew...you may recognize him from some bts photos from the last photo shoot. After seeing and experiencing his infectious attitude, we knew we needed to set up a stories shoot.
1. Describe a day in your life, what are your routines...if any?

Depending on how the night before went I usually try to get up around 7:30-8:30 in the morning, open up my laptop throw on some tunes to get the day started and start checking some emails. That may be as routine as it gets for me, I’m working on a few projects right now and some days I focus on more than others. But everyday I’m editing a shit ton of photos and videos. I don’t work a 9-5, so my days vary a lot one day I may be shooting a band  at my house, or going somewhere in Chicago for a photoshoot, or going to work a show at Metro.

Other than that I hang out with my friends everyday, and that’s one of the best routines that I have, being from the east coast my close friends here are my family.

2. Who's style is one that you look up to? Is there an artist who's look you appreciate.

Women in general. I think that women take more chances with their style and experiment more to figure out what their style is and return the result is great fits all year round. I grew up in a house with all women so it gave me the confidence to try different things and colors to figure out what fits me best.

I’m really feeling Mick Jenkins style, dude is like 6’5 and is one of the best dressed people anywhere he goes. That’s impressive to me, and it looks great.

3. Pick three values, why did you choose what you did?

Consistency, empathy, love. The people that I have the most respect for in life and the ones I admire hold those values dear to them, not because they tell me but by showing me and just carrying themselves in a way that I can appreciate and hopefully do myself.

4. When was the last time you tried something for the first time?
Seriously like everyday, I’m very open to trying new things even if it doesn’t always make sense to me. I would say though just this whole modeling thing for me is like a first time thing, I started taking it serious in like December of this past year, and I’ve been fortunate enough to shoot with a lot of people in a short time period.
5. Best advice you've ever received?

Doing the same thing and expecting different results is, insanity. And as well as BE KIND, treat people how you want to be treated.

6. What is your favorite time of year and why?
The summer easily, people of Chicago are beautiful and everyone goes out during the summer. The music festivals and concerts are amazing and all over the place. The sun makes me happy, and it makes people who are always in a shit mood a lot easier to deal with.

Just Go Create

August 29, 2019

"To keep going, is to believe that there is always an invitation, is a truly creative act... There's sort of a healthy defiance involved. A hoping against hope. God continues to use  creation, creativity, and the arts to point to and unlock hope, mystery, beauty, and love. An open invitation for us all."

CHClosing

July 25, 2019

I’ve made the hard decision to close CHC.

My vision to awaken the beauty in people through creating beautiful products and experiences remains in tact; CHC is simply no longer the vehicle to my vision. My depth of gratitude for your support (every step of the way) is inexpressible.
